Hoodlums drove limo to burglary
Around midnight Monday, the limousine drove up in front of the shopping mall Sørlandssenteret in Kristiansand with six kids in the back seat. While the hired driver waited in the hired limo, they disappeared behind the mall.
They returned shortly thereafter, carrying a box with fireworks each.
The driver refused to drive them anywhere, said Odd Nordmo, police chief at Randesund police station to TV 2 Nettavisen. It was in the middle of the night, so he suspected what they had done.
While the youth were arguing with the driver security arrived. They had discovered that a container filled with fireworks on the back of the building had been broken into. They just added two and two together. The kids ran off, and forgot both the fireworks and their rented car.
We managed to catch three of them, Nordmo said. These boys, who are between 15 and 17 years old, are charged in the case. We are going to question them today.
Three other youths are suspects in the case, but they have not yet been apprehended.
