Both Tom Cruise and Oprah Winfrey have accepted the invitations to be hosts at the Nobel Concert, and all of the 6,000 tickets for the December event have already been sold, reported the Norwegian paper Dagbladet.
Last year's event was hosted by Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.
According to Geir Lundestad in the Nobel Committee, program hosts and artists are not paid for their services, but they do reach a large audience as the Nobel Concert is broadcasted in many countries.
Artists like Diana Krall, Joss Stone, Cyndi Lauper, Andrea Bocelli, Patti Labelle, and Polyphonic Spree, in addition to Norwegian Sondre Lerche, are performing at the event. Two additional artists will be invited to perform, reported Dagbladet.
