Military opens stores

People stood in line in 30 below when the Norwegian military opened a store in Bardu in Troms this week. The store is selling off access goods from the Norwegian National Guard.

Tons of military equipment will be sold over the counter this year, according to the local paper Nordlys.

In addition to the store in Bardu, an outlet will open up at Hauersæter at Gardemoen, Oslo, next month. There has even been talk of an Internet store. Furthermore, there will be held auctions every month during the year where big items as crawler and field trucks will be sold.

Goods which will be available for sale are clothes, shoes, equipment, skies, backpacks, tents and other items which have been made redundant in the National Guard.
