A new survey conducted by AC Norge AS on behalf of the newspapers’ news agency ANB indicates that the number of people who want to joint the European Union is currently higher than the opponents.
48 percent of the surveyed said they would vote yes for a Norwegian membership. 39 percent would vote no, in other words, almost ten percent less. 13 percent of the surveyed were not sure.
Europabevegelsen, the organization for membership, claims the numbers confirm that there is a trend indicating a considerable change in attitude regarding membership in the European Union.
Nei til EU, the organization against Norway joining the union, believes that the no side will once again gain ground, and states that the difference between the two is not all that large after all.
