Norwegians positive to immigration to fill specific jobs

Eight of ten Norwegians are positive to increased immigration in order to fill jobs in certain professions in order to secure the social services for the elderly.

The positive attitude to immigration to fill jobs is found in all sections of society regardless of age, education and place of residency. Even among the Progress party’s supporters, a party which often express a wish to reduce immigration are 70 percent for increased immigration within specific professions in order to secure social services.

This information was revealed by a survey conducted by the research agency MMI, printed in Ukebrevet Mandag Morgen, according to the TV channel NRK.

It is mainly within health services and care work that Norwegians claim immigration is a good resource.
