Rundt 270 snø- og isskulpturer skal stilles ut under snøfestivalen i Sapporo i Japan, som strekker seg fra 5. til 11. februar, og noen av dem er virkelig ruvende, som denne modellen av Sør-Koreas berømte Nambdaemun, en portal som ble ødelagt i en brann i fjor. Flaggheisingen var en del av generalprøven før snøfestivalen. Det er 60. gang at Sapporo, Japans vintersportssted i nord, arrangerer en slik festival.
