Bird flu found in Norway
The virus was found in a mallard which was captured in the Norwegian capital. The institute of veterinary studies concluded that the virus is a so-called non-aggressive version of the bird flu after an analysis was made of a test collected last year, according to the Norwegian news television channel NRK.
But according to the institute of veterinary studies, there is no drama connected to the new find.
It is not very likely that people will be infected, said Stein Ivar Ormsettrø, director of health and hygiene department at Norwegian Food Safety Authority, to NRK.
The virus is now sent off to a lab in England for further tests.
