Braathens plane made emergency landing
The reason for the emergency landing was that there was something wrong with the landing gear.
The Boeing 737 plane from Braathens had 52 passengers and a crew of five on board.
The plane was in route from Trondheim to Bergen, and landed without any problems at Stavanger Lufthavn Sola just after 23 p.m. Turesday.
During the approach to Sola, the pilots got a message that there was something wrong with the landing wheels.
The pilot got the message that the landing wheels had not been moved into locked position, said Knut Løvtuhaugen, head of information in Braathens to boarding.no. The light turned green eventually, but to be on the safe side they decided to do a controlled safety landing.
At the airport in Stavanger a full catastrophe alarm was called before the landing. Ambulances, emergency vehicles and personnel were ready.
After the landing, the 52 passengers were debriefed by the captain.
