Easy match for Rosenborg
VENTSPILS – ROSENBORG: 1-4: It has been a successful week for Rosenborg. They blew Lillestrøm off the field with a 6-0 score, and on Wednesday they danced around the Latvian team Ventspils.
Rosenborg may secure their spot at the Norwegian Championship when they meet Bode/Glimt at Lerkedal on Sunday.
The last week has been good, said Åge Hareide to TV 2 Nettavisen, as he was taking care of his sore back at home.
Frode Johnsen sent the team up in the lead after 23 minutes. Johnsen pushed the ball into an empty goal at a 16 meters distance while the goalkeeper was out trying taking care of Azar Karadas.
Only a couple of minutes later, Ståle Stensaas took advantage of the situation and made another goal, and five minutes before the break, Øyvind Storflor managed to get up close before he simply kicked the ball into the goal.
Goalie Harald Martin Brattbakk also wanted to come and play, so he fixed a 4-0 lead half way through the second half.
Ventspils got a consolation goal after 82 minutes when Stensaas touched the ball and made a penalty.
The results for the other Norwegian teams:
PAOK - Lyn 0-1
Vålerenga - Grazer 0-0
Leiria - Molde 1-0
