IKEA flies customers to their store
Customers in Tromsø, Bodø and Harstad will be able to jump on one of IKEAs planes and fly to Trondheim in November. The price for a round trip will be NOK 650 (USD 93), and the first people who orders tickets will get the travel expenses returned as a gift card to the store in Trondheim, according to the paper Nordlys. A flight from Tromsø to Trondheim takes about an hour and half.
There is no IKEA store in Northern Norway just yet, but the company is considering opening one there, according to Camilla Lidemann, head of information in IKEA Norway.
Earlier this year potential costumers started a campaign to get a store in the north.
