The Norwegian Crown Prince Couple opened the exhibition «Norway Says and Friends» in Bangkok, Thailand. The exhibition will show off Norwegian design.

The exhibition by the designer group Norway Say and their Norwegian friends and colleagues have already been represented in Singapore and Tokyo this fall.

The exhibition in Bangkok is located in the middle of a busy shopping mall, presenting modern furniture, glass, and porcelain.

«It gives me extra pleasure to be able to introduce Norwegian design here in Thailand because you are known for your beauty and design of artwork,» said Crown Princess Mette-Marit in her opening speech, reported the Norwegian news bureau (NTB).

After the opening, both the Crown Princess and Crown Prince Haakon tried the different sofas and chairs for comfort.

A business and industry seminar to highlight what kind of goods Norway has to offer was also given in the same PR effort. Norway is currently importing twice as much from Thailand as Norway export to the country.
