Ole Gunnar Solskjær is the best paid athlete in Norway, according to Økonomisk Rapport. The Manchester United player cashed in NOK 26.6 million last season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær earns good money kicking a ball around for England, and last season he kicked NOK 26.6 million into his own savings account, something which makes him the best paid athlete in Norway.
Second after Solskjær is Petter Solberg, who made NOK 20 million last year.
If Solskjær makes about 25 million krone, he is making more than Petter for the time being, said Solbergs manager Jim Carlsen to Økonomisk Rapport.
Jim Solbakken, Solskjærs advisor, does not want to comment on how much of Solskjærs income comes from Manchester United, much of it is also from bonus and income from sponsorships.
I can not state what Ole Gunnar makes from Manchester United, but he gets what he deserves, Solbakken said.
Other athletes who made enough to survive are Tore Andre Flo, John Carew, John Arne Riise and Espen Knutsen; they all made over NOK 10 million krone last year.
