Moose shot down town
The moose had been walking around in the residential areas at Torshov in Oslo since approximately 5 a.m. when the police around 9 a.m. chased him into one of rear courts at Rosenhoffgata.
The police got into an apartment on the second floor by using a ladder, and from there the police officers got the animal within shooting range.
The moose lost its way into down town. We can not have a moose running around in residential areas, so we were forced to out it down, said Eva Brekke, head of operations at Oslo Police department to TV 2 Nettavisen.
