Norway sends election observers to Ukraine
In accordance to the ruling made at the foreign affairs meeting in Sofia earlier this week by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to double the number of election observers from 500 to 1000, Norway is doubling its number of election observers.
Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said to TV 2 Nettavisen that Norway will send about ten people. During the scandal election in November, Norway had five election observers present.
However, the exact number of observers which will be sent to the re-election December 26 will not be decided until the case has been viewed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After the election in November, Prime Minister Viktor Janukovitsj was appointed as winner. However, after large public protests, the Supreme Court ruled that last months election had been fraudulent.
