Numbers from the first quarter of this year indicate that foreign airlines are better at departing on time than Norwegian airlines.
The Danish airline Maersk is best at keeping its departure times, having a 94 percent accuracy, according to numbers from the first quarter reported to Avinor, the company responsible for the air traffic control services in Norway.
The small Norwegian company Coast Air is listed as number two with 93 percent of its flights departing on time, while the Belgian SN Brussels Airline is listed third with 92.5 percent, according to the Norwegian daily Aftenposten.
The large Norwegian companies are listed far down on the list. SAS is listed as number 12 with 87.6 percent accuracy in departure times on their routs. SAS is followed by Braathens with 85.6 percent, and Widerøe is listed as number 18 with 81.9 percent of its planes departing on time.
At the bottom of the list are British Airways listed as number 23 with 69 percent accuracy, followed by Air France, 68.2 percent, and Spanair with 52.8 percent.
