Norwegian Ibas expands to Poland
We have great expectations to the market, said Bjørn Arne Skogstad, CEO in Ibas.
Poland is country number 17 the Norwegian company is expanding to. Ibas has previously focused on Western Europe, but it is particularly the expansion of the European Union which makes Poland so interesting for the technology company.
The Ibas office will be added to Lodz, and 60 percent will be owned by the Norwegian company. The remaining share will be kept by Bartlomiej Papierski, head of the local company.
Products like computer recovering is increasingly becoming more important in these markets as well, said Tormod Nymoen, head of marketing in Ibas to TV 2 Nettavisen.
Ibas is known as one of the worlds leading companies within computer construction, and we believe their expertise and experience will give us a flying start, stated Papierski in a press release. I have myself long experience from the computer security business, and Im looking forward to bringing Ibas leading technology and competence to Poland.
The Norwegian computer company views Poland as the door opener for the constantly growing market in Eastern Europe. Ibas is already looking into the possibilities of getting into the Baltic region, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Ibas is owned in its entirety by Norman ASA.
