NRK offered grilled dog

Chinese students were offered what they and the audience believed to be grilled dog at the live television show Blender Monday.

The live program Blender at NRK2 shocked viewers and insulted its guests Monday by grilling and serving what was believed to be dog. Ten Chinese students refused to participate when they were informed of what was on the menu, reported the Norwegian daily Aftenposten.

Feel tricked
«We refuse to be apart of that, and we all feel tricked,» said Lan Lan, who has been a student at University of Oslo for the past two months.

The program producers did not reveal until afterwards that the meat that was served was in fact rabbit.

Controversial
«I don’t have much understanding for their reaction, and we back up it up, even if it may be a little controversial,» said Åsa Formark, project leader, according to the Norwegian daily Aftenposten. She explained that Blender is a humor program.

The students have been promised an apology from NRK since they were not properly informed beforehand.
