Swedish police have traced 37 children who have been exposed on pornographic images on the Internet. One Norwegian man and one Swedish man are charged in the case.
The revelation is part of an international cooperation lead by Norwegian police.
In 1997 international police became aware of a special child-pornographic image series on the Internet. The images documented a range of serious sexual assaults against children aged 2-11, Aftenposten reports.
Thorough investigations across the Scandinavian borders gave results and the men who are believed to be responsible were tracked down in Sweden.
37 of the assaulted girls have now been found.
A Norwegian man in his 30s was arrested in his home in Fredrikstad the same day the Swede was arrested.
The man has been released from custody but is charged with downloading significant amounts of child pornography from the Internet.
