Everything is going according to plan, but it is still unknown when operations will be up and running again, stated Kristofer Heltand, head of information at Statoil, to TV 2 Nettavisen Wednesday afternoon. Statoil is reportedly losing about NOK 35 million (USD 5.7 million) daily with the current oil price.
The remaining crew of 65 has been working around the clock to secure the well on the Snorre A platform in the North Sea.
According to Statoils webpage, there is still some work remaining before the well work can be concluded.
