The Kyrgyztani puppy dog problem

Sist oppdatert:
Kyrgyzstani president brought along two puppies of the breed Kyrgyztani greyhound as gifts to the Norwegian King and to the Prime Minister. The problem is that neither the King nor Kjell Magne Bondevik want a dog.

According to the Norwegian paper Dagbladet, the president was forewarned that the somewhat unusual gifts were not appropriate, but he decided to bring the dogs all the same.

Another problem is that the puppies need to stay in quarantine for four months before they are even allowed to enter into Norway.

It is not likely that Norwegian diplomats are going to ask the president to take back his gift, but at the moment they are apparently without a solution to the diplomatic mess.

Meanwhile the two 13 week old puppies have to remain at the boarder veterinary at Gardermoen International Airport outside the capital for four months until they have finished the quarantine.
