Warning issued after drunken elk attack
Swedish authorities are apparently not taking any chances and have issued a warning against berry-intoxicated elks after a woman was attacked in costal town of Karlshamn, Sweden.
According to the web site Ananova, experts claim that animals are eating the last of this summers berries, and that they are likely to become even more aggressive as they eat the very last of the berries that have fermented into potent alcoholic fruit.
Paul Stamberg from Kristiansand, Norway, has experienced this before, and he said you never know when it comes to drunken animals.
Some elks get very calm, but others very aggressive after theyve had alcoholic fruit, just like humans, Stamberg concluded.
